In order to promote the development of spinal minimally invasive technology and promote the common progress of spinal minimally invasive technology in Henan Province, the "VBE Spinal Endoscopy Technology&DMSE Dual Media Spinal Endoscopy Technology Training Course" was organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and Luoyang Orthopedic Hospital (Henan Orthopedic Hospital), and co organized by the Tenth People's Hospital of Shanghai, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University, and the Dushan Branch of Nanyang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital (Nanyang Orthopedic Hospital). It was successfully held from June 15 to 16, 2024, at the Zhengzhou Branch of Luoyang Orthopedic Hospital (Henan Orthopedic Hospital) in Henan Province.


The meeting was chaired by Professor He Shisheng from the Tenth People's Hospital of Shanghai and Professor Yin Heping from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University. Professor Liu Hongjian from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and Professor Zhu Huimin from Luoyang Orthopedic Hospital (Henan Orthopedic Hospital) served as the executive chairman.

The training course focuses on VBE spinal endoscopy technology and DMSE dual medium spinal endoscopy technology, and is divided into theoretical lectures, surgical live broadcasts, and specimen practical operations. Professor He Shisheng and Professor Ni Haijian from the Tenth People's Hospital of Shanghai, Professor Yin Heping from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University, Professor Tan Hongdong from the Shandong Public Health Clinical Center, Professor Zhu Huimin, Professor Kong Fanguo, Professor Zhang Changsheng, and Professor Li Junqing from Luoyang Orthopedic Hospital (Henan Orthopedic Hospital) in Henan Province, and Professor Yang Liuzhi from the Dushan Branch of Nanyang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital (Nanyang Orthopedic Hospital) gave theoretical lectures. During this period, Professor Ni Haijian from the Tenth People's Hospital of Shanghai and Professor Zhang Changsheng from Luoyang Orthopedic Hospital (Henan Orthopedic Hospital) jointly completed a wonderful live demonstration of spinal endoscopic surgery. The students focused on watching and had a thorough discussion. Professors patiently and meticulously answered the questions raised by the students. This interaction not only gave the students a deeper understanding of spinal endoscopy technology, but also made them feel the charm and value of this exchange.

 

In order to consolidate theoretical knowledge and ensure that students can truly master the essence of spinal endoscopy technology, the training class has specially set up a specimen practical operation section. On the 16th, Professor Tan Hongdong, Professor Jia Liansheng, Professor Zhang Changsheng, Professor Li Junqing, and others served as teaching instructors to provide hands-on guidance to students at the hospital's modern clinical training center. During the practical operation, the students showed extremely high enthusiasm and focus. Through repeated practice and continuous summarization, the students gradually mastered the operational skills of spinal endoscopy technology and were able to independently complete surgical operations in a simulated surgical environment.

 

Through a two-day exchange, everyone expressed that this learning not only deepened their understanding of VBE spinal endoscopy technology and DMSE dual medium spinal endoscopy technology, but also improved surgical skills through practical operation, solved many problems encountered in clinical practice, and provided valuable experience for future work.

It is understood that the Clinical Training Center of Luoyang Orthopedic Hospital (Henan Orthopedic Hospital) in Henan Province was officially completed and put into use in July 2023, with a total area of over 2000 square meters. It is equipped with a complete intelligent multimedia practical teaching system, 17 clinical training practice desks, 2 classrooms, and 1 analysis and discussion room, which can accommodate nearly 200 people for theoretical learning and practical practice at the same time. At the same time, it can meet the needs of clinical anatomy practical training, academic lectures, clinical research and other teaching and training activities. The opening of this center provides a teaching and training venue for orthopedic teaching and the promotion of new technologies, and continuously attracts well-known orthopedic experts from all over the country to visit and guide. At the same time, the center also provides a teaching venue for improving the skills of orthopedic clinical doctors and accelerating the cultivation of medical talent teams. Since its operation, it has attracted more than 2000 young and middle-aged doctors from all over the country to visit and learn, which is of great significance for accelerating the cultivation of clinical medical talent teams and enhancing clinical skills.
